In view of the clash in the dates of JEE Advanced 2019 and the last phase of general elections, the examination date of JEE Advanced 2019 has been shifted to May 27, 2019 (Monday). According to an earlier plan, next edition of JEE Advanced, the entrance examination held for admission to premier technological institutes in the country, was scheduled to be held on May 19. A notification posted on the official website of JEE Advanced, the examination will be held in India and abroad, on May 27, 2019 (Monday), in the following two shifts: Paper 1 (09:00 to 12:00 IST) and Paper 2 (14:00 to 17:00 IST).
Last phase of Lok Sabha elections will be held on May 19, in which 59 constituencies from 8 states (Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh) will vote.
“In view of the clash in the dates of JEE (Advanced) 2019 and the last phase of General Elections 2019, the examination date of JEE (Advanced) 2019 has been shifted to May 27, 2019 (Monday),” said a statement from JEE Advanced organisers.
“The examination will be held in India and abroad, on May 27, 2019 (Monday), in the following two shifts: Paper 1 (09:00 to 12:00 IST) and Paper 2 (14:00 to 17:00 IST),” the statement added.
The entire JEE (Advanced) 2019 Examination will be conducted in fully computer based test mode.
According to reports, 2,24,000 students would be appearing in the JEE Advanced 2019 exam this year.
Students are selected to appear in JEE Advanced based on the scores in JEE Main. This year JEE Main is being conducted twice. The cut off marks to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2019 exam will be announced after the result for second JEE Main 2019 is released.
Currently, National Testing Agency (NTA) is in the process of JEE Main April exam.
The last date to apply for JEE Main April 2019 exam was March 7, 2019.
The exam will be conducted between April 7 and April 20, 2019.
The result will be declared by the end of April after which the application process for JEE Advanced 2019 will begin.
NTA has already released the result for JEE Main January 2019 exam.

Please note that the ranks provided are for Computer Science and Engineering B. Tech four year course based on JEE Main 2018 result. Also, the opening and closing ranks provided are for General Category. Notably, Computer Science engineering is the most preferred course. Also, the ranks for reserved category are lower as compared to General Category.
Also, HS related to Home State and OS relates to Outside State. All the institutes have a seperate quota for students from within the state and outside. NIT Warangal, which is in Telangana, also have a seperate reserved category for students belonging to Andhra Pradesh.

JEE Main April exam date sheet changed due to Lok Sabha Elections, admit card on March 20, here’s the latest update
JEE Main April 2019: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notice announcing the date of JEE Main (II) April exam. In a latest notice released by NTA for JEE Main April exam, it is announced that the JEE Main April Exam dates are slightly changed due to the Lok Sabha Election dates.
Earlier it was announced that the JEE Main April exams will be held from April 7 to 20. But now, according to the revised exam schedule , the paper 2 of B. Arch/ B. Planning will be conducted on April 7 while the paper 1 will be conducted on April 8, 9, 10, 12.
Moreover, the JEE Main April exam admit card will be uploaded on March 20, 2019 on its official website jeemain.nic.in.
Also, today March 15 is the last date for making any corrections in the data provided by candidates of January and April exam. Candidates can make changes in their father’s name, mother’s name or candidate’s name. An additional fee for correction has to be paid.

JEE Advanced 2019: Application process
JEE Advanced 2019 applications would begin in May first week after JEE Main 2019 Final result and rank is declared.
The cut off for the JEE Advanced 2019 examination would be shared at the time of declaration of JEE Main 2019 Rank. As per National Testing Agency circular, the JEE Main 2019 rank is expected to be announced by April 30, 2019.
JEE Advanced 2019 examination is scheduled for May 19, 2019 and would be conducted by IIT Roorkee this year.
JEE Advanced 2019 Eligibility Criteria:
As per the poster available on the website, candidates born on or after October 1, 1994 are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2019. Please note, this means that the candidate should be 25 years of age or less as on October 1, 2019.
NOTE: JEE Advanced 2019 examination is scheduled for May 19, 2019 and would be conducted by IIT Roorkee this year.
- Candidates who have appeared in JEE Advanced 2017 or before are not eligible to apply
- Also, candidates who have appeared in their board examination in 2018 or would be appearing in 2019 are eligible to apply
- For Foreign candidates, only criteria 2,3,4 and 5 are eligible

National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun the registration process for JEE April 2019 examination from February 8, 2019. From this year , NTA has been conducting the JEE examination twice a year. Candidates can apply before March 7 and pay the fees by March 8, 2019.
While the registration process is going on, there are several candidates who have applied multiple times. Considering this NTA has advised the candidates to apply for the April Exam only once. Applying for multiple times can result in cancellation of the candidature.
The advisory issued by NTA reads, “As mentioned in the Information Bulletin for the said Examination under the Heading: ‘Instructions for Filling Online Application Form’, “only one Application is to be submitted by a Candidate. More than one application i.e. multiple application forms submitted by a Candidate will be rejected.”
JEE Main I was held from January 8 to 12, 2019 and the results were declared on January 19.
Candidates who could not qualify the JEE Main I exam that was conducted in January can re- attempt in JEE Main II exam that will be held between April 6 to 20, 2019. However, those candidates who have cleared the JEE Main I (January) exam can also register for the second exam (April) if they wish to improve their score. It is, however, not compulsory for the students to take the exam twice. Students appearing for the exam twice (in January and April), their best of two scores will be considered.

JEE Main 2019: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a new notice for Joint Engineering Entrance (JEE) Main aspirants. According to the circular, the agency can cancel applications of candidates in case of multiple filling.
In its official release, NTA said, “It has come to the notice that some aspiring candidates of JEE (Main) April 2019 exam are filling up online application multiple times.” It further added, “Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application, that is, multiple application forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected.”
The release also stated that iIn case any candidate is found to be filling up multiple applications, the NTA will reject it without any intimation.
If a candidate had already applied for the JEE Main January exam 2019, they need not register again and start filling the form right away.
Here are steps to follow to prevent your candidature from cancelling –

Step 2: On the homepage, click ‘apply for jee main (April) 2019’

The JEE Main April 2019 application link has been activated on the official website and candidates can now register for the exam. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for JEE Main April 2019 till March 7, 2019. Candidates will be allowed to pay application fee till March 8, 2019. JEE Main April 2019: Important Points To Know
- Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2017 or 2018; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in JEE Main April 2019 Examination.
- Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2016 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2020 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE Main April 2019.
- Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE Main 2019.
- Candidates applying for B.Arch., must have studies Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the qualifying examination.
- While applying for JEE Main April 2019, candidates will have the option to select Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both as per their choice of course to which they seek admission.
- Paper 1 is for admission to B.E./B.Tech. courses. Paper 2 is for admission to B.Arch./B.Planning courses.
- Paper 1 will be a computer-based test. In case of Paper 2, Mathematics Part I and Aptitude Test part II will be conducted in Computer-based mode and Drawing Test Part III will be conducted in pen-paper mode.
- The medium of JEE Main 2019 examination will be either English, Hindi or Gujarati. Candidates will have to select their medium of examination at the time of application.
- There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main examination. However, candidates are advised to check any age criteria applicable at the institutes where they may wish to take admission.
- NTA will allow candidates to make any corrections in their application from March 11 to March 15, 2019. The correction facility will be available only to candidates who are applying for the first time and had not applied for the JEE Main January 2019 exam.
